Two elected officials were sworn into their leadership positions at a ceremony during the Harvey County Commission meeting following the certification of the Harvey County general election results on Nov. 15, 2022.

Heather Figger was sworn in as the attorney for the Harvey County Attorney's Office. She was elected to fill the remainder of a partial term that runs through 2024.

Figger has served as the county attorney since December 2021. She was previously appointed to the position following the resignation of previous county attorney Jason Lane.

Figger began her tenure with Harvey County as an assistant attorney in February 2021.

Becky Fields was also sworn in as Harvey County treasurer. She was elected to fill the remainder of a partial term that runs through 2024.

Fields previously served 17 years as the county treasurer before retiring in January 2018, part of a previous 36-year stint serving Harvey County. 

The oath of office for Figger and Fields was performed by Ninth Judicial District Chief Judge Marilyn Wilder.
