Harvey County stretches 540 square miles, neighboring with Butler, Marion, McPherson, Reno and Sedgwick counties.

Harvey County has a three-commissioner board. The commission meets weekly on Mondays at 9 a.m. in the commission room of the Harvey County Courthouse. The county is also represented by elected officials in its attorney, clerk, register of deeds, sheriff and treasurer offices.
