The Harvey County Commission set the public holiday schedule for County government facilities for the 2025 calendar at its Nov. 19 meeting.
The Commission scheduled 11 days of holiday for County employees in 2025. Facilities will generally be closed on these holidays, but emergency and essential services will remain available.
The County's 2025 public holidays include:
- Jan. 1: New Year's Day
- Jan. 20: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Feb. 17: Presidents Day
- May 26: Memorial Day
- July 4: Independence Day
- Sept. 1: Labor Day
- Nov. 11: Veterans Day
- Nov. 27-28: Thanksgiving break
- Dec. 25-26: Christmas break.
The County will also be closed to the public Oct. 13 for its annual employee in-service.
