The Harvey County Commission will hold department budget hearings May 28-30, as the Commission begins to evaluate the County budget for 2025.
The annual budget hearings allow department heads and representatives from organizations requesting appropriation funding to advocate for and provide context to their funding requests.
The budget hearings are open to the public. The meetings are held at the Harvey County Courthouse, and can be viewed online.
The schedule for this year's budget hearings is below. Dates and times for each hearing are subject to change.
Tuesday, May 28
- 10:45 a.m.: Budget and Capital Improvement Project Overview
- 11 a.m.: Harvey-Marion County CDDO (appropriation)
- 11:15 a.m.: Clerk, Elections and Clerk Technology
- 11:30 a.m.: Bond and Interest
- 1 p.m.: Appraiser's Office
- 1:15 p.m. Planning, Zoning and Environmental
- 1:30 p.m.: Kansas State Research and Extension - Harvey County (appropriation)
- 2 p.m.: District Court
- 2:30 p.m.: Treasurer's Office
- 2:45 p.m.: Department on Aging
- 3:15 p.m.: Harvey County Free Fair Board (appropriation)
