Just southwest of Newton, Harvey County Camp Hawk features rental cabins, an 18-hole disc golf course and a fishing pond.
The Cabins at Camp Hawk opened in 2020, offering two furnished residences in the center of the park for visitors to enjoy. The nearby disc golf course winds throughout the southern landscape of the park, giving a nature tour that includes challenging throws around trees and the four-acre pond.
Camp Hawk is also home to a cabin-style shelter building that can be rented for social gatherings. The facility can host around 100 people, and includes heating and air conditioning as well as a wood-burning fireplace, restrooms and kitchen. Camping, a playground, softball diamond and an outdoor, lit basketball court are also available to park visitors.
Camping is subject to a fee. Fishing requires a state-issued fishing license.
Camp Hawk is located at 1801 SW 36th St. in Newton.
