User fees are annually evaluated. Fees are an important component in maintaining and improving park grounds. Below are some of the fees assessed to our parks visitors (additional processing fees will be applied for debit and credit card transactions).

Daily and multi-day permits can be purchased at the East Park and West Park bait shops, at self-pay drop boxes in the park or from a park ranger. Daily and multi-day permits must be purchased within one hour of arrival. Season passes can only be purchased at the bait shops, by calling the Parks office at 316-283-5420, or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Multi-day camping permits are valid for primitive camping sites only. Multi-day permits are only available April 1 through Nov. 15.

Park buildings and shelters are rented on a per-day basis. A separate cleaning and damage deposit is required for all park building and cabin rentals. This deposit can be refunded back following your reservation if the facility is left in a clean condition, no damage was incurred and all rules were followed. The amount of the deposit varies by rental facility. Renters must be 21 years old or older. For more information on renting our buildings for your occasion, please see our Using Our Facilities page.

Special event fees apply to any event organized by an entity or person that charges its own fee with a combined participation and spectator turnout of less than 250 people. An additional $150 cleanup and security deposit is required, but will be refunded within 30 days of the event's conclusion so long as no damage or litter are found, park policies were followed and the grounds were cleaned.

Large event fees apply to any event organized by an entity or person that charges its own fee with a combined participation and spectator turnout of 251 people or more. An additional $250 cleanup and security deposit is required, but will be refunded within 30 days of the event's conclusion so long as no damage or litter are found, park policies were followed and the grounds were cleaned. If portable toilets or additional trash receptacles are required, they will come at the expense of the event organizer.

Events larger than 1,000 people will be individually negotiated. 

Storage is available at East Park with a required contract. A $1 per day late fee will be charged for all payments made after the first of the month.
